Leadership focuses on the way managers take on their role and how this is experienced by employees in concrete workplace situations. Using authentic situations, it is assessed how the manager deals with challenges, expectations, and collaboration. Based on the impetus360 leadership compass, a distinction is made between motivating leadership behaviors (participative, aligning, guiding, and clarifying) and demotivating leadership behaviors (demanding, dominating, giving up, and waiting). The results are presented in a leadership profile. 

Mapping leadership provides insight into how managers contribute to motivation, engagement, and performance, or, on the contrary, create risks of demotivation, insecurity, and lower effectiveness. The results help organizations to recognize and further develop strong leadership qualities, while also addressing behaviors that are counterproductive.
