Fostering a constructive feedback culture

In many teams, it remains difficult to directly address each other about behaviour, agreements or collaboration. Sometimes people talk about each other rather than with each other, which can cause tensions and frustrations to build up.

Yet organisations increasingly want an open feedback culture, where colleagues give constructive feedback, express appreciation and make challenges discussable.

A feedback culture goes beyond learning feedback techniques. It is about creating a team climate where safety, trust and accountability go hand in hand.

Opleiding

In this module, managers learn how they can support their team in building such a culture: by setting clear expectations, showing role-model behaviour and coaching employees to address colleagues directly.

The focus lies on strengthening employees when they face a concern or problem: how do you help them convey their message clearly and constructively, and dare to be the messenger themselves?

Participants gain insight into common pitfalls, learn to assess when intervention is appropriate and practise giving constructive feedback. Through interactive methods they develop a motivating and sustainable approach.

Target audience:

Managers who want to contribute to an open feedback culture by supporting employees in constructively addressing colleagues.
