Motivating delegation
Delegating may sound simple, but in practice it is not always evident. Tasks are not always picked up as intended, resistance may arise, or valuable time is sometimes lost. At the same time, many leaders find delegation far from straightforward. Yet it can be a powerful lever: when done in a motivating way, delegation fosters ownership in the team and leads to faster and stronger results.
Good delegation creates space for the leader and growth for the team.
This module strengthens leaders in their ability to delegate tasks in a way that motivates and empowers employees.
Based on four building blocks – understanding, willing, able and following up – participants learn to shape delegation as a motivating process. They discover how to build ownership and trust, and practise how to apply this in a supported and results-oriented way in their own team.
Target audience
Leaders who want to improve their delegation skills and create more ownership in their team.
